How can we help ?
Male Candidates

What makes a good candidate?

Although in the past many male patients have not qualified for hair transplant surgery, Sure Hair International has developed various new techniques, such as the FUE or Strip Harvesting method. This ensures that over 90% of our male clients will be eligible! The Hamilton-Norwood Scale as pictured below indicates the seven stages of male hair loss.

Our experts usually recommend that classifications one through seven are eligible for hair transplant surgery. However, occasionally our physician recommends the surgery for class eight. To find out if you are eligible, please visit us for a FREE consultation.

Criteria:

1. Potential patients must be at least 25 years of age.

2. The patient should have a family history of male pattern baldness also known as genetic androgenic alopecia which most occurs in a horseshoe pattern, leaving strong healthy hair at the back of the scalp.

3. There must be a sufficient amount of donor hair, specifically the donor area must have an average of 80 FU/cm2 as well as good laxity.

4. Lastly the healthy donor hair should show little to no signs of miniaturization, which is the gradual thinning of existing hair.

However, if you are at risk of certain infections due to any immune system deficiencies, then you may not be a prime candidate. Patients with diabetes may also not be suitable since diabetics are more likely to be susceptible to a broad range of infections. Please consult your doctor for further details.
